Section Mission Statement
The Idaho Snake River Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International is established with the purpose of providing a source for positive personal and professional development of its membership. Through the management of its elected officers, the Section is committed to facilitate opportunities for internationally respected professional certifications, and a diversity of membership activities intended for the advancement of technical knowledge, professional development and/or enjoyment of its membership while promoting the continued growth of professional contacts and personal friendships within the Idaho community.
Idaho Snake River Section President's Address

Members of the Idaho Snake River Section of AACE International:
I am absolutely humbled to have the opportunity to serve as President of this AACE Section. In the last few years, the Idaho Snake River Chapter has been one of the fastest growing chapter's in the United States, due largely to the great efforts of the President's and officers who have served previously. Although I would very much like to continue that growth, I believe my primary goal will be to work hard to improve the program and association benefits for our current membership.
My first order of business, however, was to establish a Section Mission Statement. I believe that for a board to make good decisions on which direction to take an organization, they need a statement of purpose to fall back on. We intend to live to our mission, which is all about making this association a great resource for not only professional, but personal development... and enjoyment.
A big thank you for our association members for trusting in this board and these fine officers. We expect to work extra hard to make the 2012-13 activities season extra special. Please always feel free to let us know how we are doing, and if there is anything more we can do for you.

Members of the Idaho Snake River Section of AACE International:
I feel lucky to be here, at the outset of a newly revitalized local section. I'd like to take this chance to thank you for electing me president of the Idaho Snake River Section. It's an honor to serve such a talented and experienced group of project controls professionals. I have been a member of AACE International for over four years, and I've gained so much from it. The mission of AACE is to advance the technical knowledge of, and provide professional development opportunities for its members. From my perspective, AACE has succeeded.
This organization is the recognized international technical authority in cost and schedule management. Since joining AACE, I have supplemented my knowledge and experience with established industry standards and definitions; further developed my network of professional contacts; studied for, and passed the Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) examination; stayed more up-to-date on the latest news and trends in cost and schedule control; and much more. I would like to help bring those opportunities to all of the other project controls professionals here in our section. I would like us to work together in order to build a community in which we can pool our collective skills, talents, experiences, and knowledge. With an active community of project controls professionals, we will work to foster a culture of continuous development, sharing of ideas, and mentoring those who are new to this great career.
Since being elected section president, I have established committees that will focus on the core goals of our local section. We are working to schedule a series of technical presentations by experts; these presentations will be the core of each section meeting. We are working to compile study programs and mentor contact lists for those members who are interested in pursuing an AACE International certification. The Idaho Snake River Section is wholly intended to be a service provided for our member project controls professionals, such as yourself. We aspire to be a primary resource to help us all achieve our full potentials.
