Idaho Snake River Section Mission Statement
The Idaho Snake River Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International is established with the purpose of providing a source for positive personal and professional development of its membership. Through the management of its elected officers, the Section is committed to facilitate opportunities for internationally respected professional certifications, and a diversity of membership activities intended for the advancement of technical knowledge, professional development and/or enjoyment of its membership while promoting the continued growth of professional contacts and personal friendships within the Idaho community.

03-26-13 - The third Idaho Snake River Chapter meeting was held Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013! After a discussion regarding the benefits of an AACE membership, Jared Neumeier, PSP, presented an abridged version of his AACE Annual Meeting accepted paper, "Origin, Theory and Application of the T-week Scheduling Process." This is a scheduling application devised by the Energy Facilities Contractors Group (EFCOG) to effectively manage maintenance work at their various aging DOE laboratories around the country.
The next section meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9th, 6:45 p.m.; Dixie's Diner, Channing Way, Idaho Falls. This will be the last.., but not least, section meeting of the year. Come and enjoy!!
02-14-13 - The second Idaho Snake River Chapter meeting was held Tuesday, February 12th! After a technical presentation on "Project Planning" by Rick Staten, PSP, PMP, the section discussed opportunities and ideas for section activity and community outreach. The Idaho Snake River Section is committed to becoming more involved in the local Eastern Idaho Community and various members have been tasked to pursue opportunities that will lead to a more visible AACE presence in Idaho. The next section meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd, 6:30 p.m.; Dixie's Diner, Channing Way, Idaho Falls. Expectations are high for another great, productive and educational meeting!
02-11-13 - The second Idaho Snake River Chapter meeting will be held Tuesday, February 12th! The meeting will be held at the Pizza Pie Cafe on east 17th street and begin at 6:30 p.m.

10-11-12 - The inaugural Idaho Section AACE meeting was held at Billman's Steakhouse with 11 local members and their spouses (19 total)in attendance to catch up on the business of the AACE and enjoy the enlightening and entertaining success story of Sylvia Medina, president and founder of the North Wind Group in Idaho Falls. 9-26-12 - The next section meeting is officially set. Wednesday, October 10th, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Billman's Steakhouse on east 17th street. ALL active/paid members and their spouses/guests will have their dinner's covered by the Idaho Snake River AACE. Please RSVP in advance by calling 521-1577 or 226-4369 or e-mail isrs@snakeriversection.com and let them know yours and your guests meal preference (bar-b-que chicken breast or grilled sirloin). Sylvia Medina, from North Wind, will be speaking to the group and the section officers are working to inject more excitement and interest into the local section. Please plan on attending AND please bring your spouse to this meeting!
9-21-12 - Congratulations to Gerardo Islas Rivera, CCT™, who earned the Certified Cost Technician (CCT™) certification in September.
8-6-12 - Check out our new members page. We have created a space to help members of the AACE Idaho Snake River Section get to know each other a little better. See what certifications your other local members have. If you are interested in earning your AACE International certification, you can contact some of our section's official certification mentors with any questions. If you are already certified, and are interested in supporting others who are pursuing certifications, contact isrs@idahosnakeriversection.com to volunteer to become an official ISRS certification mentor.
